Woven Roses Gift Card Holder

Materials:
Yarn (worsted weight or yarn size 4 ) in the following colours: white, light pink
green embroidery floss
7 count plastic canvas mesh
Instructions:
Cut out plastic canvas shapes as per diagram. The overall size of each piece is 26 holes wide by 17 holes high.

2. Using light pink yarn, fill in the tent stitches and woven wheel stitches as per diagram below. (Note: view the woven wheel stitch video by clicking this link. https://www.cottagecreatrix.com/plastic-canvas-stitch-library

Using white yarn, fill in the white tent stitches around the roses as per diagram below
Using green embroidery floss, fill in straight and leaf stitches as per diagram below

5. Using the overcast stitch, finish the top edge of the front and back pieces in white
yarn.
6. With the wrong sides of the front and back facing each other, whipstitch the remaining sides together with white yarn. Make sure you do not whipstitch the side that has its edges done in overcast stitches.
7. Your gift card holder is now complete and you can slide your standard size gift card holder, cheque or folded dollar bills into it, ready to gift to the special someone you made this for.
