What is A Witch, What is A Christian Witch and Why is She Supposedly Evil?

Maybe the word "witch" brings to mind: green warty skin, a long pointed nose, long boney fingers with long sharp black fingernails, thinned straggly greying hair, crooked and missing yellowed teeth, a crisp cackling sound, black cape, black wide brimmed pointy hat and a sturdy straw broom in hand.
Or maybe the word "witch" brings to mind: a woman dressed in white or maybe possibly even naked dancing and twirling under the light of the full moon. Silvery platinum blonde hair with moonlight sparkling through the long wispy locks. A smile on her face, a crescent moon in her hand, wearing stars as a crown.
But to some of us, especially to us who have grown up in Christian churches (for me specifically two distinct evangelical churches), the word "witch" means something totally different. It's meaning in the church is equal to a demon possessed girl child and demon possessed woman. Someone who sold her soul to the devil for only God knows what and why. But evil none the less.
And how can the church tell that this person is for sure a witch? Well, on occasion the demon possessed woman child can foretell the future even to the point of what someone will be wearing the next day. Or on occasion the demon possessed woman child might also go out in the wind on a cold winters evening, look up at the sky, sing jingle bells and snow will begin to fall. Or the demon possessed woman child might be wearing a dress a little too tight, a little too short all because it is the only dress she owns and she outgrew it and her family can't afford another dress for her until a few months down the road. But because the youth pastor was turned on by seeing this young teen in this outfit, it wasn't his fault. it was caused by the demon within her because he was put under a spell and wouldn't be like that normally. That is what the word witch means in many a church.
And the kicker is? The church itself made up the words "witch" and "witchcraft" during the reformation of the church (16th century) and added it into the Bible - yes they changed the Bible a lot to suit their partisan ways and political agendas. Part of their agenda was to get rid of many wise and knowledgeable women who would call them out on their shit while trying to make the church even more patriarchal. They crafted a list of actions and termed those actions "witchcraft" and they called anyone who did any of these actions a "witch". They specifically targeted these wise women, also known as seers and mages and wicce (both old English and German for wisewoman). But this is the true definition of the word "witch".
The word "witch" means wise woman. One who knows about the seasons and lives in tune with them. One who understands the ways of nature and the animals (such as the ant, the badger, the bee, the raven, the bear). One who knows about lunar cycles, that living in tune with the cycles brings peace and harmony to the mind and body. One who has knowledge and can heal with energy, herbs and crystals. Ones who can stop storms with the wave of a hand and a single voice command. All these examples are truly what the word "witch" and "witchcraft" means.
And men of organized religion hated that they could not control these types of women so they called them "witch" and said they were evil and of the devil. And even today this still holds true. Today numerous men of ranking in organized patriarchal Christian church denominations (created in the reformation times) still hate that they cannot control some of us. And they hate that some of us wise women (known as Christian witches) know our Bibles through and through and can call them out on their crap. So they try to use the pulpit and the computer keyboard crying out "witch! witch! heretic! witch! “to no avail.
Why? Because some Christian witches, including myself, no longer care what the man-made church thinks with their man-made doctrines. We care about our relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We care about the path the Holy Spirit has called us to. We care about the fact that younger generations are being told half truths, lies, errors and omissions right from the pulpit. We care that the younger generations are being taught to suppress the magickal gifts of the Holy Spirit and not learn about them or practice them as commanded in the Bible, so that these men of little faith may continue with their own political agendas. And those of us who do care about all this are answering the Lord's call and speaking out.
