Graveyard and House Halloween Shelf Sitter

Materials Required to make 1 (one) shelf sitter:

• 1sheet of 7 count mesh plastic canvas (10.5 inch by 13.5 inch)

• Yarn colours (yarn size #4 or worsted weight): black, orange, gold, dark green, lime green, burgundy, purple

• Four pieces of felt, each piece cut same size as one finished panel

• Sewing thread or glue

Tools Required:

• Tapestry needle

• Scissors

• Glue gun (optional)

Pattern Instructions:

1. Cut fours rectangle 20 holes wide by 50 holes high each.

2. Sew the tent stitches, back stitches and straight stitches as per diagram in the yarn colours shown, paying attention to the direction stitches are going.

3. Using the overcast stitch, finish the outside edges in black yarn.

4. Sew or glue a piece of felt to the back side of each of the panel pieces.

5. Using black yarn, whipstitch the panels to each other making sure that they are not too tight together and can be folded in such a way as to stand up on its own.
